THE PROPHETIC PULSE: ACTUAL CHANGE IN EARTH’S GEOGRAPHICAL AXIS COULD INDEED CAUSE CATACLYSMS

We’ll have a “special report” on prophecy soon, but for now let’s follow up on this notion, sparked by new revelations out of Fatima, that an event could have occurred (but for the intervention of Mary) or may well loom in the future that has to do with the earth’s axis.
For in a 1944 “enlightenment” seer Lucia dos Santos told colleagues an infusion came to her as she prayed about the third secret that was given to her nearly three decades before. Besides indicating an angel with a flaming sword, set to cause the world on “fire,” it also appeared, in her words, as if “the tip of the spear as a flame unlatches and touches the axis of the earth.”
This, it went on — the enlightenment, apparently from the Blessed Mother — would cause the planet to “shudder” and “mountains, cities, towns, and villages with their inhabitants” to be “buried.” The seas would “overflow.” So would rivers. There would be a “whirlwind” of houses and people” beyond count.
It has been a remarkable addition to the entire Fatima episode. And it leads to many questions. A key one:
What going on with or happening to the earth’s axis might cause this? What could lead to such calamitous effects?
We have previously mentioned that it would take a massive comet or asteroid to affect the earth’s axis and rotation. One of girth enough to jolt the axis would in fact sterilize the earth of all life; while it fits the part of the secret mentioning fire, it would go beyond a chastisement.
But it is a chastisement that is implied by the Fatima and other secrets — not the end of the world.
If it wasn’t for mention of the axis — which would take such a colossal bolide — one could more readily envision a smaller, fiery comet hitting an ocean and causing massive “overflowing” waves. Or an asteroid (though this would not be as blazing). An all-out nuclear war (and war is also mentioned in the enlightenment) could cause such localized effects (disruptions in nearby bodies of water), and there would be fire for sure.
But no nuclear weaponry could affect the earth’s axis; even the great Asian tsunami of 2004 shifted the axis just several centimeters (and changed the rotation a mere .004 seconds). The Japanese quake-tsunami may have budged the axis four inches. It naturally moves a meter or two in the course of a couple of decades.
If not something like a comet, what then might one look to as profoundly and substantially changing the tilt of earth?
The earth’s axis or tilt is currently about 23.5 degrees. Over long periods of time — thousands of years — it can vary from 22 to roughly 24 degrees.
That angle of tilt, we come to learn, is substantially affected by gravity not only from the sun, but also from other planets in the solar system and even the moon, which holds it in place to an extent and keeps it from varying as much (precessing) as it might otherwise.
But there are other planets in our solar system that have varied much more widely, or rotate far differently, or are tilted far more, suggesting that earth could also. Mars can vary from 0 degrees to sixty over millions of years. Pluto is tilted at 122 degrees. There is at least one planet in our solar system — Uranus — that rotates on its side. Venus spins in reverse. All planets have now reached sort of an equilibrium, where they exert forces that stabilize each other.
This could change if the gravity in the sun — so much larger than all the planet’s combined — or a force from the galactic center were to alter its gravitational pull or if an “exoplanet” — an object from beyond our solar system, or in the farthest and as yet undiscovered reaches of our own system — were to suddenly insert a new influence.
These are possibilities; these are forces that could “touch” the axis of earth.
But as likely as anything and perhaps more so might be perturbations in our planet itself: shifts in the interior structure, namely the molten core of the earth.
Or, in the entire crust: the core maintaining its normal rotation while the layers in the crust suddenly liquefy due to imbalance and magnetic effects, causing the surface to shift, jolt, or glide over underlying layers.
There are those who believe that Antarctica was once at the equator and that massive crustal shifts can happen every 12,000 or even 6,000 years — the latter a figure that would place it in line with the biblical reckoning of when the world, or at least the world as we now know it, was formed.
They relate it to passages in Genesis and Isaiah (see the passage at the end of this article). Or even Noah.
Is it changing? Is the crust or molten iron on the move?
If so, many believe it could not only affect the earth’s axis (the geographical poles, causing the planet to actually tilt one way or another more), but, depending on the extent, also cause tremendous seaquakes (leading to tsunamis), volcanic disruptions (“fire”), profound and even radical changes in climate and weather patterns, or even reform coastlines and continents.
This is not to be confused with the “magnetic poles,” which have been migrating as much as a thousand or more miles from the geographic poles and often do, as much as thirty miles a year.
If the physical, geographic poles suddenly changed, it would be an entirely different — and potentially cataclysmic — event.
Some believe that movements in the molten iron or other parts of the earth’s interior would cause loud explosions, and in fact the past several years have witnessed numerous places around the world where loud, unexplained, and perhaps subterranean “booms” and “rumblings” have been reported — often in secular news outlets. This year they have come from such disparate places as Idaho, South Carolina, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, South Dakota, and New Jersey [see here].
In the Canadian Arctic, Eskimos say they have observed very noticeable differences in where the stars are now placed and where the sun rises, believing this is what has caused a shift in climate (as permafrost melts around them). Inuit elders have even sent NASA a letter about it (back on April 20, 2011), stating that days are heating up faster and lasting longer. Long accustomed to studying the moon and stars for survival, they say they can no longer predict the weather.
Is something already underway?
Does it factor into unusual northern lights of late, since the turn of the millennium?
We’ll report.

A host was found by a custodian at St Patrick’s in Rochelle, Illinois. It was placed in water by the Deacon to dissolve on May 1, 2015, four days later, May 4, 2015, it appears to have turned into flesh and blood. See the photo above. The Deacon took this picture. It’s becoming clearer, at least in a public way, where the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith stands while the case of Medjugorje remains with the Holy Father, with no indication we will hear his final discernment any time soon.
Two english language Medjugorje-promoting websites are reporting ecclesial intervention in Padova, Italy, bringing about a cancellation of an event by alleged visionary, Ivan Dragičević.
Medjugorje Today reports, in part:
For the second time in 2015, an arrangement with visionary Ivan Dragicevic has been cancelled by the local Ordinary. Ivan was scheduled on May 22 near Padova, Italy, whose Archbishop explains that he is complying to the directives issued by the Vatican’s doctrinal office. Arrangements with Medjugorje visionaries are increasingly being cancelled. One day after Vicka Ivankovic-Mijatovic’s late May visit to Brazil was called off by organizers, visionary Ivan Dragicvic’s May 22 testimony and public apparition in Mestrino near Padova, Italy, was also cancelled. Whereas it is still uncertain if Vicka keeps from Brazil because the… [you have to pay $19/month to read the rest].
In a note on it’s sidebar, the Crown of Stars blog says there were cancellations in South America of Marija’s tour.
Another Medjugorje seer cancelled her visit to South America in January. Marija Pavlovic had been invited to witness in Nicaragua, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela but organisers gave notice that the seer had cancelled “due to personal reasons”.

Beyond what’s going on in the weather and with the quakes or volcanoes and the simple strangeness around us is now the revelation that Sister Lucia dos Santos of Fatima had provided added details to the equally famous secret given her and two cousins in 1917 and best known as the Third Secret of Fatima.
Though she told fellow nuns at a convent in Coimbra, Portugal, that the entire 1917 secret was revealed in full by Rome in 2000, the cloistered Carmelite, revered for her deep holiness and along with Juan Diego of Guadalupe and Bernadette of Lourdes the most famous seer in history, said that in 1944, while praying about writing down the third secret for her bishop, she was granted an additional “enlightenment” to do with the vision in the secret, which she had seen as an angel touching the earth with a flaming sword.
“After the two parts which I have already explained, at the left of Our Lady and a little above, we saw an Angel with a flaming sword in his left hand. Flashing, it gave out flames that looked as though they would set the world on fire…” she wrote about the third part.
Then came the additional enlightenment, about which we now learn Lucia said:
“The tip of the spear as a flame unlatches and touches the axis of the earth. It shudders. Mountains, cities, towns, and villages with their inhabitants are buried. The sea, the rivers, and the clouds emerge from their limits, overflowing and bringing with them in a whirlwind houses and people in numbers that are not possible to count. It is the purification of the world as it plunges into sin. Hatred and ambition cause the destructive war!”
Mention of the earth’s “axis” drew immediate notice, for if it is not a simple metaphor, it implies an event or events different from what can be caused even by a flurry of nuclear weapons. Nuclear war has been the interpretation most often attached to the formal part of the secret, implying as it did a fiery chastisement.
Now, an effect on the “axis” has been added.
Not just the surface but the interior of the earth seems involved (“unlatched”).
While potential nuclear war remains a very likely component of aforesaid warned events — and while, with Russia and China flexing muscles, the threat of a gigantic nuclear holocaust has hardly vanished — the additional enlightenment of 1944, revealed in a new book by Sister Lucia’s fellow nuns, A Pathway Under the Gaze of Mary — raises the question not only of whether the legendary secret has played itself out, but whether it pertains to the possibilities of war and an extraordinary natural disaster, or a natural event that would involve both “fire” and a massive geological effect.
The combination of “fire” and “the sea, the rivers, and the clouds [emerging] from their limits, overflowing and bringing with them in a whirlwind houses,” along with specific mention of the earth’s “axis,” opens up a myriad of additional possibilities about what was implied by the secret, leading one to wonder if there is implied nuclear war and a great geophysical upheaval, or if an event such as an asteroid or comet would fit the bill as both causing fire to fall — touching the earth, as with a fiery sword — and affecting the earth’s axis in such a way as to disturb the oceans.
And it brings into sharp relief the purported messages from a nun in Akita, Japan, who in 1973 — on another major Fatima anniversary (that of October 13)– said she was told by the Virgin Mary that “If men do not repent and better themselves, the Father will inflict a terrible punishment on all humanity. It will be a punishment greater than the deluge, such as one that will never have been seen before. Fire will fall from the sky and will wipe out a great part of humanity, the good as well as the bad, sparing neither priests nor faithful. The survivors will find themselves so desolate that they will envy the dead. The only arms which will remain for you will be the Rosary and the Sign left by My Son. Each day recite the prayers of the Rosary. With the Rosary, pray for the Pope, the Bishops, and the priests.”
Whether a comet of the size necessary to affect the earth’s tilt would leave survivors is a question for astronomers. It seems impossible that anything would be left, even if the comet were large enough to cause only a minor change in the planet’s rotation or orbit. One expert says it would take a force that is a significant fraction of the energy contained in the earth’s rotation, which scientists estimate is the equivalent of 100 million times the world’s entire nuclear arsenal. Only an asteroid or comet more than four times the size of the moon, striking a glancing blow at the earth’s equator, would change the earth’s rotation, according to the expert, who adds that there is no known asteroid that size.
The earth’s axis is its tilt and the cause for seasons. Any change in it alters climate. While it varies slightly through the millennia, it is normally within a narrow range.
Of such mass is the earth that a comet the size of what some believe lead to the extinction of dinosaurs would supposedly change the length of the day — the earth’s rotation — by a mere .004 seconds.
That’s minuscule, but thousands of times the effect of the 2004 quake that caused the great Asian tsunami.
Whether a large planetoid-kind of any object coming from the outer zones of the solar system might cause fiery debris and gravitational or “precessional” effects that would nudge the earth without actually touching it is an open question. Nor do we know what could be effected by the gravitation from the sun, which is 333,000 times the mass of earth. One can also speculate about mega-volcanoes, which would cause fire to fall and perhaps provoke concomitant earthquakes that would disturb the “sea.” There are increasing signs that the interior of the earth might be unsettled, and another Church-approved seer, Maria Esperanza of Betania in Venezuela, once remarked that the earth’s core “is not in balance.” Strange rumblings as well as seismic events have been recorded during the past several years in many parts of the world. Volcanoes are regularly in the news, most recently in Chile. But are they more frequent than usual?
At the Church-approved site of Kibeho in Rwanda, seers were shown alleged future events that included, in at least one visionary’s reckoning, a great upheaval during which mountains seemed to collapse and rocks seemed to be smashing into each other in great sparks. Another seer there said the Virgin had once asked rhetorically, “Where will you go when the fire is everywhere.”
Might something inside of the earth — the theoretical molten core (scientists aren’t even really sure what the core is like) — shift in a way that would tilt the earth or affect its rotation — at the same time shaking loose volcanoes and causing tremendous quakes?
In the third secret — the release of which was the first and largest headline on Spirit Daily, which was founded on this day (May 13, the Fatima anniversary) fifteen years ago — the torch from the angel is quenched by the radiance of the Blessed Mother, and the secret ends with the words, “Beneath the two arms of the Cross there were two Angels each with a crystal aspersorium in his hand, in which they gathered up the blood of the Martyrs and with it sprinkled the souls that were making their way to God — which confirms Sister Sasagawa’s message on how the Virgin had prevented certain chastisements (through “beloved souls who console Him and form a cohort of victim souls”).
That too connects with Fatima. Another message to the nun, Sister Agnes Sasagawa — in 1973, long before the secret was revealed — said: “With My Son, I have intervened so many times to appease the wrath of the Father. I have prevented the coming of calamities by offering Him the sufferings of the Son on the Cross…”
Clearly, major events have been prevented but with the state of the world and the signs around us, there is reason to believe that other chastisements loom, or that the forestalled ones may rekindle. At the reputed but not yet approved site of Medjugorje in former Yugoslavia, which Pope John Paul II called “the fulfillment of Fatima,” six seers are said to possess up to ten secrets each, some pertaining to future matters — a clear sign, if authenticated, that major events — chastisements — remain a serious and perhaps global issue.
It would take a relatively minuscule change in the planet’s axis to have profound effects on climate, which already has changed in most parts of the world, with some wrongly assuming it must all be due to human input and others denying that the change has taken place despite extensive evidence from governments around the world of the contrary. These changes, however, similar to what occurred before bubonic plague in the high Middle Ages, may be linked at least in part to activities on the sun, which also played a part in the Fatima events in the way of the also famous “miracle of the sun” on October 13, 1917, the same day, fifty-six years later, in 1973, that Sister Sagawa received her most jarring prophetic message.

Stating that “there is no fourth secret nor are there other hidden secrets,” Cardinal Angelo Amato, the prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, delivered a lengthy address on the Fatima apparitions at the Pontifical University Antonianum on May 7.
The 20th century, said Cardinal Amato, was expected to be a time of “reason and brotherhood,” but instead saw the beginning of an era of Christian persecution: “the Armenian genocide, the Mexican repression, the Spanish persecution, the Nazi massacres, the Communist extermination, and, in this first part of the third millennium, Islamist persecution.”
“The message of Fatima in a visionary way evokes this drama, raising the veil on concrete historical events” in which God’s Providence opposes Satan’s evil will, he continued.
The former secretary of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith discussed the contents and history of the Fatima apparitions, including devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the First Saturday devotion. After reviewing the history of the third secret, Cardinal Amato said that St. John Paul’s reading of the third secret following the assassination attempt of May 1981 was the “decisive turning point of his pontificate.”
The prelate recalled that St. John Paul then entrusted the world to the Immaculate Heart of Mary in Rome in June 1981 and again in Fatima the following year. In 1984, “in spiritual union with all the bishops of the world,” the Pope again entrusted the world to Mary, and this “solemn and universal act of consecration” corresponded to “the will of Our Lady,” Fatima visionary Sister Lucia affirmed in a 1989 letter.
In 2000, Cardinal Amato recalled, St. John Paul ordered the publication of the third secret, in which a Pope is shot dead. “Sister Lucia, referring to Mary’s protection of John Paul II, fully endorsed the statement that ‘it was a mother’s hand that guided the bullet’s path and his throes the Pope halted at the threshold of death.”
After recalling Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger’s commentary on the third secret, Cardinal Amato said that “the mother’s hand, which led the bullet not to kill the Pope, indicates that there is no immutable destiny and that the power of faith and prayer can influence history: prayer is more powerful than bullets of a gun.”
Cardinal Amato concluded by offering two considerations.
First, “the secret of Fatima lifted the veil on the real opposition, on the plane of being and acting, between Mary, all-holy and effective cooperator with Christ, and the enemy of the good, the serpent (Gn. 3”14-15), the red dragon, Satan, the devil (Revelation 12:1-9), the anti-Christ (1 John 2:18; 2 Jn. 1:7).” Second, the message of Fatima is a powerful appeal to the good, and especially to holiness and forgiveness, which requires “sacrifice and mortification.”
