A Group of Firefighters Near-Death Experience

All three here at link.

The late Arvin S. Gibson was a retired nuclear engineer, a prominent near-death experience researcher and a co-founder of the Utah chapter of IANDS. His research culminated in the publication of several major works on the subject of NDEs including research on how NDE research supports doctrines of the Mormon (LDS) Church. In 1996, Arvin Gibson interviewed a firefighter named John Hernandez who had a most unusual NDE while working with other firefighters in a forest. What makes it unique is that it happened at the same time as several co-workers were also having an NDE. During their NDEs, they actually met each other and saw each other above their lifeless bodies. All survived and they verified with each other afterwards that the experience actually happened. The following testimonies of Arvin Gibson and John Hernandez can be found in both of Gibson’s books, Fingerprints of God  (Gibson, 1996, pp. 128-31) and They Saw Beyond Death (Gibson, 1999, pp. 128-33).

BISHOP’S STATEMENT CONCERNING THE SUPERNATURALITY OF THE MARIAN EVENT IN SAN NICOLAS

From The Miracle Hunter:

BISHOP’S STATEMENT CONCERNING THE SUPERNATURALITY OF THE MARIAN EVENT IN SAN NICOLAS

At the homily Monsignor uttered the following words:

Dear Brother Bishops:

Twelve years as pastor in San Nicolas and having followed this Marian event with faith and responsibility, I know from the beginning have grown in the decision to admit to my diocese.

I worked in consultation with experts and witnesses and aware that the duty to monitor or intervene rests primarily with the local ordinary, I assume, as the bishops who preceded me, the decision to support, guide and testify about this event in San Nicolas.

I judged the fact according to two criteria: Positives and negatives and in both cases there were no errors.

I discerned on three specific criteria, namely:

Event Is naturally occurring? Can it be work of the enemy? Is it supernatural origin? And the answers to these questions left me sure that it is the real and positive fruit exceeding mere human action.

On the occasion of the Jubilee of Mercy of the pilgrims from the Diocese, I announce this valid decision for the flock which I guide and accompany with it the presentation of a book entitled “SPIRITUAL SCHOOL OF SANTA MARIA DEL ROSARIO DE SAN NICOLAS” highlighting the most important teachings in the messages she gives us for our commitment to everything he tells us because he is the culmination of revelation.

I promulgated it this Sunday, May 22 at the Mass for pilgrims from the Marian Shrine and celebrating this jubilee on the seventh anniversary of his coronation.

Thus:

On those assertions, AND AS DIOCESAN BISHOP ENTITLED TO THIS KIND OF STATEMENT; MOTIVATED BY A SENSE OF AWARENESS FAIR DECREE WITH MORAL CERTAINTY, GOOD INTENT AND HOPE; FULFILLING THE REQUIREMENTS OF INSIGHT SUGGESTED BY THE HOLY SEE; SEEKING GREATER GLORY AND THE SAKE OF OUR CHURCH; CALLING ON THE NAME OF GOD ALMIGHTY FATHER, SON AND HOLY SPIRIT, THE NAME OF MARY OF THE ROSARY OF SAN NICOLAS, IS YOUR HUSBAND SAN JOSE, ACKNOWLEDGE THE SUPERNATURAL CHARACTER OF HAPPY EVENTS WITH GOD THROUGH HIS FAVORITE DAUGHTER JESUS ??THROUGH HIS MOTHER MARY, THE HOLY SPIRIT THROUGH HIS LOVELY WIFE, WANTED TO MANIFEST HERELF LOVINGLY IN OUR DIOCESE

FINALLY AND HOW THE HOLY MOTHER HAS TO HEAVEN ON BEHALF OF ALL THE DIOCESE, THAT IS IT, BY THE EVER QUEEN AND LADY OF SAN NICOLAS DE ARROYOS
.

‘Exorcist’ Director Claims He Filmed Real Life Possession and Exorcism Video

“I don’t think I will ever be the same having seen this astonishing thing.”

That’s what William Friedkin, the director of the horror classic “The Exorcist,” said to an audience at the Cannes film festival last week.

As reported by Agence France-Presse, Friedkin, 80, claimed that earlier this month he was allowed to film a real exorcism at the Vatican. “I was invited by the Vatican exorcist to shoot and video an actual exorcism which…few people have ever seen and which nobody has ever photographed,” he said.

The Vatican denied “making any such invitation. The Vatican (itself) does not have an exorcist,” a spokesman told AFP. “People often confuse any Catholic initiative/organization/person with the Vatican. Perhaps this is the case here.”

Friedkin said he intended to shoot “The Exorcist” as a horror movie, but the more he learned the more it became a case study of a real exorcism. The film recounts the demonic possession of a 12-year-old girl and an exorcism conducted on her by two priests.

“When I started I thought I was making a horror film and then the priest, who was the president of Georgetown University (in Washington DC), let me read these diaries and I knew that it was not a horror film,” Friedkin told AFP. “This was a case of exorcism.”

The real life case that “The Exorcist” was based on involved a boy. Friedkin said he believed the boy was genuinely possessed. “I’m convinced that there was no other explanation. I read the diaries not only of the priest involved (in the exorcism), but the doctors, the nurses and the patients at Alexian Brothers Hospital in Saint Louis where this case was carried out,” he added.

“Everything having to do with medical science and psychiatry was attempted. This young man suffered from afflictions very similar to what’s in the film, as hard is that is to believe.”
